Hugh
Wheatley was a medical student at Birmingham
university. He qualified in 1991. Following
a general surgical training he specialised
in ENT. He worked in major centres in Birmingham
and Bristol Before moving to Manchester
as a registrar. Whilst in the training post
he gained training and experience in all
aspects of ENT. He passed his final royal
College of Surgeons exams in1999, and has
been on the specialist register for ENT
since 2001.For his final year of training
he went to Melbourne, Australia. Whilst
there he worked on the Head and Neck cancer
and Facial Plastic Unit.
He treats all aspect of ENT but has a sub
specialist interest in Facial plastic surgery
and the treatment of neck lumps, thyroid
and parathyroid disease and cancers that
affect the head and neck region.
Hugh is a member of the British Association
of Otolaryngologists – Head and Neck
Surgeons. He is also a member of the British
Association of Head and Neck Oncologists,
The British Association of Endocrine surgeons
, and the European Academy of Facial Plastic
